Searching a Case

In ChangeRequest, searching can be used to quickly find a case in the system. The search functionality varies depending on the account type (role) you have. If you are a PM or an Analyst who is doing the search, the system looks for cases that match the given parameters in all accounts. But if you are a Client, it looks only for cases within your account.

There are two basic approaches of searching:

Simple Search – The approach to perform when you know the number of the case that you are searching for. This is done by the use of the Search panel found in the right of the Dashboard, Projects, and People sections.

Advanced Search – The approach to perform when you do not know the case number but you know some other information relevant to the case. For PM and Analysts, they can provide the Keyword, Project Name, Assigned User, Case Creator, Delivery Date, Created Date, and Status while for Clients, they can provide the Status.
